On knowing that our office is planning a trip to Jim Corbett filled me with excitement. Everyone at work had the same zeal and we were all set to explore the wilderness and beauty of the Jim Corbett National Park. Our stay at one of the most glamorous resort in Uttarakhand – Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa was like icing on the cake. Till date, I cherish the memories I made at this resort amidst the scenic beauty of Jim Corbett National Park. Through this blog, I am sharing my experiences to let you explore the majestic beauty, comforting luxury, and breathtaking moments from my office trip to Jim Corbett National Park.
Embark on the scenic drive to Jim Corbett
That joy of escaping the boredom of Noida’s hustle bustle and exploring the wilderness at Jim Corbett was clearly visible on the face of my colleagues. Our office retreat date arrived and we began the journey at midnight, all filled with anticipation. Soon the music began and we all started playing games. Despite being 3 at night, none of us were ready to close our eyes, as if the sleep has also escaped from the window. The air of excitement in each of us, some yummy snacks and beverages in our hands, and the exciting team games; made the journey more fun-filled.
I unlocked my phone and once again searched for Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa and started exploring the pictures of the resort. Every picture was giving me a sense of luxury that I was about to experience after a few hours. You even can’t imagine that what a summer vacation at Anantum Gateway Resorts. Though it was an office trip, however, I personally checked the reviews about the resort and the place before leaving Noida. And all the reviews were making me more eager to reach the destination. Darkness started fading away and the tint of the sunlight began to fill the sky with beautiful colors. We halted for tea and snack after some time and discussed about the activities and everything that our office management has planned for us at Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa.
Warm Welcome in Indian Style
I have been to many resorts before and have explored many places, but the kind of welcome me and my colleagues experienced at Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa was impeccable. The Indian hospitality and culture was clearly visible the way they welcomed us. We were greeted in the traditional style with garlands and tilak along with a welcome dance and welcome drink. The welcome dance was performed on a local song of Uttarakhand by the native girls and boys. Later on, the sound of dhol began and we all joined the dance troop to shake our legs. We were so excited that none of us wanted to stop dancing on dhol.
I was mesmerized by all this and especially by looking at the locals who were all dressed up in the Uttarakhand attire for welcome dance. I did click some pictures with them and then we were offered with welcome drinks to quench our thirst after a 15-20 minutes dance on dhol. Despite being awake all night, there was no sign of lethargy in any of us. Especially, if I talk about myself, I was more excited to explore the resort instead of taking a nap. The staff members than took us to our respective cottages and helped us with the helpdesk numbers if we needed anything.
Beginning to a luxurious retreat
Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa stands true to its definition of luxury and comfort. From the spacious and cozy cottages to the greenery surrounding it, everything was speaking of the perfect retreat this place offers. While we were there for a corporate retreat but back in my mind, I had this thought that I would love to bring my family to this haven for a relaxing weekend sometime. As promised, the resort offered all the top-notch facilities and amenities to offer complete comfort. For someone like me who is tired of the honking of vehicles and the polluted surrounding, this resort was no less than a dream come true destination. Right from the moment I stepped onto the lush grounds of this resort, I was lost in its architecture and the green landscape. All the cottages are designed meticulously and are a perfect blend of modern and traditional architecture. They seamlessly blend with the surrounding and give a touch of elegance that naturally attracts one to each of the cottages. From premium cottages to family suites, the Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa, Uttarakhand, is known to offer luxury for all. That is what made me think of revisiting this place again with my family.
The property is built on a vast land and what attracted me more is that no matter in which direction I turned towards; greenery, tranquility, and a picturesque landscape is all what I could see. Being a nature lover, what else I could have asked for. While exploring the resort, I also got to see the plunge pool cottage which was allotted to some of my seniors. Well, that was luxury to another level, as a private pool inside the room is like a cherry on the cake. Though, my cottage also had all the luxuries to give me complete comfort.
Sneak-Peek Inside my cottage
The spacious room with the views of the dense forest from both the windows and the balcony left me speechless. No wonder how many pictures I clicked from the windows and the balcony, as I never experienced nature’s beauty so closely before. The king size bed, smart TV, and the multiple other modern amenities were there to help us enjoy our office retreat to the fullest. Amenities included electric kettle, air conditioner, Wi-Fi connectivity, refrigerator, wardrobe, bath and oral kit, tea & coffee maker, and lots more. All of us were feeling pampered as none of us expected such a great hospitality and that too amidst the jungle of Jim Corbett. But Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa made us feel that luxury and comfort doesn’t come with the place but it comes through the heart of the people who treat their guests with great pleasure.
Culinary Experience at its best
No retreat is complete without savoring some delectable cuisines and that is why soon after check-in our rooms, we went for breakfast. Before I could start exploring the multi-cuisine breakfast, my eyes were struck on the interior of the in-house restaurant. A grand restaurant named Aaradhyam was all decked up with chandeliers and has had enough space to accommodate several people with ease. The aesthetically appealing interior of the restaurant and the comfortable sitting defines the sophistication of the resort.
While exploring this area, I also happened to know that the resort also offers a deck area next to the restaurant which comprises of a Bamboo Café and a Cabana Lounge. Though, we were on an office trip, but for couples I personally recommend the Cabana Lounge, as it has a nice ambience and offers a romantic set up for a date night. We know that the décor won’t fill our empty stomachs but the multi-cuisines does and especially the ones we experienced here. From tempting local cuisines of Uttarakhand to mouth-watering cuisines from different parts of India along with the continental dishes, one can fill their plates with different dishes.
For our office team, the culinary experts of Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa prepared a wholesome buffet that included different dishes as I mentioned above. Well, that definitely left me in dilemma to decide what to choose and what to leave. But, be it the breakfast or lunch or dinner, we were served with different dishes every time, instead of the repetitive menu like most resorts. The restaurant serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. But I can vouch on the hygiene and cleanliness of the restaurant. Right from maintaining the cleanliness during food preparation to the sanitization maintained inside the restaurant, the resort exceeded our expectations by the services delivered by them. The lip smacking snacks and the variety of mocktails served during our corporate event was something that filled up with energy for the evening. Alcohol and cocktails are also served at Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa, so one need not worry about the same.
Enjoy an adventurous and fun-filled retreat
The thrilling adventure that I had at this resort has a special place in my heart. Thanks to our office coordinators and the cordial staff members of Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa who took care of all the arrangements that we asked for. The real fun began with the pool party and the music during the day time. Though I refrain getting inside the pools the most time when staying in resort due to the cleanliness. But here, the pool was crystal clear and I couldn’t stop myself from enjoying the pool party and dancing on the rhythm of the music inside the pool. It is an extensive pool and has been designed well with a separate section for kids to enjoy swimming. I also enjoyed water slide which is attached to the pool and we all have had a great fun there.
In the evening, we enjoyed our corporate party which was perfectly organized by the resort staff. An open bar was setup along with the DJ and stage which offered us ample space to shake our legs and enjoy as long as we want. While most of us thought that the party is over after dinner but another surprise was awaiting us. The Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa also houses a discotheque and that led us to after party till late night. The space was enough to accommodate around 70 to 80 people with ease and that was more than enough for our office people. We grooved till late midnight and have had an unforgettable experience that we never thought of.
The next morning, we all geared up for the cricket match arranged by our office. The resort is spread on over 20 acre land and offers ample space for organizing a cricket match. As we already informed resort about the cricket match, they made all the arrangements, right from the pitch to the boundaries for playing cricket and chairs for seating. But before beginning the match, a warm up workout was needed and Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa also houses the gym area. While exploring the gym I also saw that there is a separate playing area for kids. And to add on to the adventure, the resort also offers ATV rides and bicycle rides to explore the resort and the surrounding area. With so much of adventure, all of us forgot the stress and enjoyed all the activities to the core including our cricket match.
Feel relaxed and rejuvenated at Anantum Gateway Resorts
The picturesque views were enough to calm our souls and eyes which were tired watching the traffic and chaos of city life. Plus the luxuries that we got inside our cottages were also great for a comfortable stay. But to help us feel completely rejuvenated and refreshing, we were also offered the spa & salon services available at Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa. Though I didn’t took both the services due to the shortage of time, as I was busy exploring the resort and capturing pictures. But the spa and massage service was par excellence. They worked as wonders on my body, as I felt fresh after that leisurely session.
It would be a lie if I would not say that this resort is a beacon of tranquility and leisure. Though we all knew that we had to go back to that same city life again, but it made us realize how important it is to have such experiences once in a while. Though I have been to many resorts before, but finding most of the things that you require for your office retreat and a relaxing weekend at one place was not something that ever happened to me. However, Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa changed that for me and till date it tops the list when someone asks me about my travel experiences so far.
While exploring the resort, I got to know that it is also famous for hosting weddings and small events and is one of the most favorite resorts to host such functions in the nearby area. As the resort houses approximately 167 rooms & cottages, so accommodation is not at all a problem here, for both personal as well as corporate events. The availability of large banquet hall and conference room is another advantage to host such events or functions at this place, as one need not worry about the space.
The credit for all this also goes to the staff and officials of Top 10 Luxury Resort in Jim Corbett – Anantum Gateway Resorts & Spa who made it possible for us to have such a wonderful experience. On every encounter with staff members, politeness, friendliness, and well-mannered behavior are all what I experienced. They were always happy to help and were dedicated towards their duties. Another advantage that I found of staying at this resort was its proximity to Jim Corbett National Park, as that is what most people visit this space for.
Bidding farewell to this enticing destination was not an easy task for us, as we all wanted to spend some more time here. So, before returning, we did buy some souvenirs from a shop inside the resort only next to the reception area. Whenever I revisit those old pictures of the resort, I get lost in its memory. It was an unforgettable office retreat that I would love to experience again soon.
